Pakistan Kashmir Strategy: An Assessment and Future Outlook

Kashmir Solidarity Day is an occasion to commemorate the struggle of the people of Kashmir for their right to self-determination. The Kashmir dispute is one of the oldest and unresolved agenda items pending with the United Nations (UN). The present situation demands the urgent attention of the international community and major powers given its dire consequences for global peace and security. Under the rule of the ultra-Hindu nationalist government of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in India, Kashmiris have been deprived of their special constitutional status and even their limited rights trampled without a second thought.
