White supremacy is not new. It has existed in the United States (US) since the beginning of its independence. However, it has evolved over time, or as per Daniel Byman, professor of terrorism and middle-east at Georgetown University USA, white supremacy movements have devolved. White supremacy is an ideology, a pattern of values and beliefs that are ingrained among racist sections of American society. It relies on entrenched patterns, ideologies, and practices of the past to consistently render privilege to whites and disadvantage the people of color, which cannot be overcome by affirmative action alone.
