The new disease emerged in December 2019 in Wuhan, China, and was initially associated with a local fish and live animal market.’ This new coronavirus was a spillover event, and it not only selectively kills the older people and the ones with underlying chronic conditions but is also capable of efficient person-to-person transmission. Respiratory features which predominate in infected persons arc pneumonia and acute respiratory distress syndrome. These symptoms resemble those of the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) coronavirus of 2002-2003, which, leads the scientists to believe that a virus of zoonotic origins is responsible.
