The silence of the global community has emboldened the Israeli government to commit grave human rights violations in the Occupied Territories. The United Nations (UN) appears to be a toothless tiger in the face of mounting pro-Israeli lobby in the capitals of the Western world. Division among the Muslim world and lack of enthusiasm shown by the Organisation of Muslim Cooperation (OIC) are two reasons for the absence of a unified Muslim response towards the Israeli aggression.
